Situated on an elevated thirteen acres on the Toowoomba Range, the homestead retains its original layout, with grand entrance, generous formal rooms, a large ballroom, and conservatory. Beautiful historical features such as marble and slate mantelpieces, leadlight windows, and wide verandahs have all been carefully maintained. Gabbinbar’s extensive and manicured grounds are secluded and inviting. The gardens feature a tree-lined entrance, gorgeous towering trees, croquet lawn and tennis court for you and your guests to enjoy.

The Homestead

The original main residence is a striking example of understated architectural elegance. With gothic revival features, such as decorative moulding, high peaked gables, and beautiful diamond-pattern leaded windows, the homestead is steeped in history.

Inside the homestead our couples are welcome to personalise every room as well as the grand entry hall. Working fireplaces, stunning crystal chandeliers, and french doors all dazzle with graceful subtlety.

The Conservatory

Through the grand entry-way you'll find Gabbinbar Homestead’s Conservatory reception space complete with impressive glass ceiling and chandelier. Dining layouts work in either round or long table arrangements.

The muted cream walls and warm timber floors ensure The Conservatory is the perfect back-drop to any colour palette, theme, and flowers. Air conditioning is available throughout to ensure you and your guests can be warm in winter and cool in summer.

The Ballroom

The impressive and original ballroom of Gabbinbar Homestead is the perfect spot to dance the night away. Elegant crystal chandeliers, natural timber floors, and a baby grand piano creates a dazzling dancefloor to whirl, waltz, and shimmy the night away.

Surround sound is provided throughout the entire conservatory and ballroom creating a memorable atmosphere. The Ballroom sits adjacent to The Conservatory creating an easy-flow from dining to dancing.

Bride's Retreat

On the morning of your wedding enjoy our stunning Bride's Retreat, your own luxurious space to prepare for your special day. Featuring a private ensuite, large sash-windows providing beautiful natural light, stunning mirrors, and a secluded verandah.

The Drawing Room

At the front of the Homestead, our drawing room can be used by you and your guests as a place to relax by the fire. French doors open up to the front verandah and an antique sideboard is the perfect place for a guestbook and presents.

The Library

The ideal place for pre-ceremony photos with a roaring fireplace and leather-bound books. Restored chesterfield lounges will entice your guests late at night to indulge in some banter whilst sipping a whiskey by the fire.

From the jasmine vine adorning The Stables, to the grand Bunya pines towering over the estate - our gardens create unforgettable experiences.
