Over two hundred guests enjoyed an amazing six-course degustation menu
Gabbinbar Homestead - Australia’s most popular wedding destination and winner of 2019 Queensland Caterer of the Year and East Street Kitchen - the Darling Down’s largest and most experienced off-premises caterer, delivered an exceptional dining event for the 70th Carnival of Flowers Qantas Gala Dinner last night.
Guests were treated to an incredible menu, designed by both Chefs, of six-courses featuring a range of local producers. The evening cemented the Darling Downs reputation for country hospitality, world-class produce and award-winning food.
“Last night’s Gala Dinner was a spectacular evening. The collaboration with East Street Kitchen was a wonderful partnership. Both teams were able to showcase our commitment to providing food in abundance, locally sourced ingredients, exceptional service and innovative food,” says Bernhard Kohlhuber, Head Chef of Gabbinbar Homestead.
The evening was attended by over two hundred local and visiting guests who were welcomed to the 70th Carnival by Toowoomba Regional Council Mayor Paul Antonio, Qantas Regional Manager Elsa Dalessio and Councillor Geoff McDonald.
Gabbinbar Homestead’s Operations Manager Cheryse Bliesner said the teams were proud to be given the opportunity to cater the Qantas Gala Dinner.
“This has been a great effort by both teams and really showcases the talent, innovation and exceptional local produce Toowoomba has to offer the world.
“The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is an important drawcard for the region and we were delighted to help launch the event in its 70th year,'' said Ms. Bliesner
