2018 - The year of food for Gabbinbar Homestead

A Wrap Up Of The Delicious Goodies We Added To Our Menu This Year

We would have to say 2018 certainly was the year of food for Gabbinbar Homestead. We’ve added several new items to our award-winning menu to enhance ‘The Gabbinbar Experience’ for each and every guest who dines at Gabbinbar Homestead. Plus, to top off the year we even took out the prestigious award, ‘Caterer of the Year)’ at the 2018 Queensland & Northern Territory Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence. Just in case you missed some of the delicious goodies which landed on our menu this year, here’s a quick run-down.

First up we added our live cooking stations to the Gabbinbar Homestead menu. Bringing flavours from around the world, our live cooking station is positioned in the garden and provides guests with a unique experience as our chefs grill, prepare and serve a garden feast in front of them. Our live cooking menu creates a collaborative atmosphere, will satisfy the ‘ultimate foodie’ and gets your guests mixing and mingling in no time.

Then our vintage ice cream trike rolled onto the luscious green lawns of Gabbinbar Homestead. Stocked to the brim with burnt fig ice cream, vanilla-bean ice cream and raspberry sorbet these ice creams are served to your guests in waffle cones or cups complete with a delicious range of toppings. Our vintage ice cream trike is available for all weddings as an option under our hugely popular 'crowd pleaser' menu.

To finish the year with a bang we added the gorgeous donut wall to our selection of ‘crowd pleasers’ as well. Our donut wall looks a real treat and adds a new dimension and feature to your styling. Your guests will be impressed when they see the selection of delicious donuts hanging on the timber board. You can also add the donut wall to your wedding reception menu as a sweet snack after dessert is served. After the formalities are over, the donut wall is a great option where your guests can simply help themselves in between dancing and mingling. It’s the perfect snack to satisfy your guest’s sweet tooth without cutting into the all-important dancing time. Plus, it creates the opportunity for some seriously cool photos, hello Instagram!
