Daniel and Kristy’s wedding day certainly was a luxurious and romantic Winter wedding at the Gabbinbar Homestead estate. Using a sea of candlelight throughout their styling this wedding was intimate, classic and everything that Daniel and Kristy had hoped for. Celebrating with 98 of their close friends and family, Daniel and Kristy chose ‘The Pavilion’ for their ceremony followed by their reception in the ‘Conservatory’.
It all began with a well-planned proposal on Christmas morning where Daniel organised everything with their daughter, Isabella. He picked up the ring just the day before so there was no risk of the surprise being ruined. On Christmas morning, there were no gifts for Kristy under the tree and that's when Isabella went and grabbed a small bag and asked Kristy if she would marry Daddy.
Kristy and Daniel, a local Toowoomba couple, lived just down the road from Gabbinbar Homestead. When they viewed the immaculate grounds of the Gabbinbar Homestead estate they both instantly fell in love with the picturesque and secluded venue. The ‘can do’ attitude of the Gabbinbar Homestead staff sealed the deal for Kristy and Daniel. When they found out their preferred date was available they booked their wedding on the spot. It was meant to be!
Enjoying the afternoon on the lawn with their family and friends was the highlight for Daniel and Kristy, they mingled with their guests from the start of their wedding until the very end, allowing their photographer to capture special moments throughout the day. A scrumptious array of canapés were served such as mini wagyu burgers, Vietnamese rice paper rolls and locally grown pumpkin and bacon arancini.
Annie from Blue Willow Weddings helped style their wedding and created a classic and romantic theme using lighting to accentuate the simple tones of the colour scheme. The wall of candlelight at the front of the ‘Conservatory’ combined with the fireworks over the glass ceiling was simply spectacular.
